50th POST!!!!!!!

Here is my 50the post!!!! I wanted to do something really special, but I wasn't sure what to do! But I finally decided to do it on cyber bullying, because I am part of the cyber world. Cyber bullying is like bullying, but on the Internet. If someone is putting rude comments about you or insulting you on the Internet, I think that cyber bullying is the worst because many people can see it if its on a public site. Its humiliating, but that's the way it is. Sometimes the bully might be anonymously doing it so they won't get in trouble. My advice is to ignore it, because the bully will realize it has no affect on you and leave you alone. Also you should go to an adult you trust. They won't make it worse, in fact they might even stop it.

I also have an important announcement. My sister, Ari, has also accomplished the goal of creating a blog. She wanted me to inform you that it is open to all, and It would make her happy if you would check it out. It's called "Young Writer", here is the link:

Thank you all,

Here is a Post on What to do if You Have a Problem Like Me

My problem is that I always forget to eat breakfast. Then, I get hungry and I NEED food when there's none. Maybe this is only a personal problem, but I really need to stop. If you don't eat breakfast, you metabolism doesn't get started(That's a real word, my mom says it ALL THE TIME!!:)) Anyway, my advice is to make a chart of things to do every day. Do it order of which they go in, and check it off as you do it. Reward yourself when your done, and then if you keep doing it, your so used to it you don't need the chart anymore. Its as simple as that! You can also use this system for anything, teeth brushing, shower, taking a walk, not even health issues either.

Hope you all remember ;)

Been awhile... Here's some advice for you!:)

It has been along while, hope you all enjoyed the Christmas vacation! I received this comment from strings of fun:

Dear Kate,
I am still having problems with my mom and sister what do I do? They blocked me from face book and i can't even go to basketball or mutual. Every time i do something that is not Right I get yelled at by my mom. I just wish that she could see how truely sorry i am and that she could also see that i am giving this UTVA program 110% not then is it to much to ask for? Please, Please Help me. I don't know what to do and i am stressed out because of finals and i just feel like giving up right now. What do you think that i should do? Need help right away

I understand what you are going through completely. A lot of stress and your family is some how against you. The best thing to do is instead of keeping these problems inside of you is to tell your family. Tell your mom how you are feeling, that your upset she is seems angry with you when you try your best. They'll understand if you just talk to them at a nice quiet time, try not to yell at each other. I sometimes have these things with my mom too, I know its hard. Just go and talk to your mom and tell her what you are thinking and feeling. She'll understand:)

THANKSGIVING CONTEST WINNER!!!!!!!

Alright I had some great entries! You guys are great writers, so much detail. But I had to choose one sadly. Ok ok, I'll tell you. The contest winner is: Kel! Kel, I love your entry, great job! Here is Kel's entry:

Hi Kate! Is it too late to give it a shot?I think in the center of the table there should be a horn of plenty filled with pictures of the guests attending, some leaves, orange and red flowers, magnolias. Maybe the napkins could be in the shape of a turkey. Fancy glasses, plates with leaves painted on them. Hand-Made turkeys and leaves around the house. And if some of the guests are kids have coloring pages and construction paper and markers and craons out and ready. Now for the food. Turkey of course! Cranberry sauce, stuffing, Hawian Bread, ham, broccoli, cream corn, mash potatoes, gravy, sweetpotatoes with marshmellows cinamin and brown sugar, french bread, cranberry wine, or for younger kids cranberry juice with sprite, soda, water juice. For dessert. Pear tart, cranberry pie, homemade pumpkin pie with whip cream, homemade apple pie, moose tracks ice cream, coffe, tea, milkshake, hot coco. That's all I got.;)HOPE THEY HAVE A HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!:)

She also told me she forgot to add pilgrim and native American salt and pepper shakers. But, I received two other Awesome entries from Samantha Wolfe an Ayden Black, great job you two!!! Here are their entries.

Samantha:

Food? Pah, that's an easy prompt. ;-)Okay, okay. This is the contest you mentioned, right? Okay.... er.Well, first of all, and most naturally, she should have a turkey. (No, really? ;-)) Unless, of course, everyone is allergic to turkey for some odd reason, in which case, ham. A big ham. She should totally have either 1. Mashed Potatoes, or 2. Scalloped potatoes, my personal favorite. They are delicious. Or, if she felt like it and had a recipe for it, cheesy potato casserole. Something with potatoes. ;-)Green bean Casserole is like... tradition.Stuffing. (doink.)Desserts: Pie. Apple, Pumpkin, Pecan.... anything, just make pie. Pie is delicious. However, if she was making pie, she'd better get either whipped cream or ice cream to go with it. :-)Decorations: Maybe like those autumn leaves that she can put on the table or whatever.... er. Like, a garland? I can't explain it. Or just have a pumpkin or leaf decorated tablecloth/napkins/place-mats. (Not all three, just one or another, in my opinion.) Salt and pepper shakers? Well, at my house we have these like... turkey metal salt and pepper shakers. So.... yeah. Maybe have some fake pumpkins around the house, and some autumn leaves around the house..... Oooh, and a Cornucopia, too. Like in the middle of the table. :-) (If there's room with the food. ;-))For the rest, basic stuff and make new traditions for food to eat. :-)'Kay, I'm done. ;-)

Oh, and before I forget: Martinelli's. :-D It's a tradition at my house. It's like apple cider.... but not.... it's cold for one thing.

Ayden:

Is this the contest you were talking about? All about food I see. I am so THERE! Food is my favorite subject. Uhhh, lets take a crack at this while I am here. Lets do a list!1. Turkey and other meats: some chicken, beef, ham.2. Deserts! Pie, cake, eclairs, ice cream, what ever you like. 3. All sorts of condiments: salt, pepper, anything.4. Decorations are a given. So, some classics will do, pumpkins, those weird shaped things that you stuff with fruits and veggies. Thats all I got.

Thank you for all the awesome entries, even if you didn't win!

Until next post,

I Finally have Anna's Prize: Crushes!

Anna has asked me to give advice on if you have a crush. If you have a crush and you care about them so much and you are dying, show them you like them. If it doesn't work out it probably wasn't meant to be, no matter how much you liked them. Or if you'd rather, you could get to know them better. Learn more about them, become a close friend to him/her. Remember their birthday, celebrate the holiday with them, or just give them a gift once in a while. Chances are that you'll someday be together. If you don't want them to know, or don't want to tell them, keep it to yourself. Think of other people you'll meet who are brave enough to ask you.

Have a great weekend,

Thanksgiving Contest!

Well, here is this month's contest! Here is our prompt:

Esther is having her first thanksgiving with her husband! She is having a big feast with her husband, her family, and her husband's family. Esther is not sure what she should serve and what she should put on the table. Create a thanksgiving dinner that you believe would be lovely! Explain with details!

So, write what you think it should look like. Obviously a turkey, maybe marigolds and salt and pepper shakers for decorations, you decide! Have fun with it, and use your imagination!

Parents will be Parents

Hey Kate,

What do you do about protecting privacy from a parent? Why do I get yelled at by my mom when i fail a quiz or a test? Please tell me what to do about it and how i can do better.Lilly

Lilly, Your mom is just trying to make sure that you end up with a good future! She wants to see if you are doing okay! Parents need to make sure that you are doing okay in school, and your social life. And there should be nothing that you should be embarrassed about to have your mom know. She's your MOM! If you ever need help or have a problem, tell her. If you don't, she will see you are having a hard time, so she will want to see whats going on. She is not trying to be nosy she just wants you happy and have a good future!

Happy Thanksgiving,
