Answer for victoria

By Victoria:

My mom is making me go to this group thing with a bunch of sheltered Christians. Like we're talking extreme here. I got the evil eye for saying what the heck. I tried to get to know them, but they "can't associate with bad influences". Apparently eyeliner is a work of the devil. I've been drowning them out with my ipod, but it's hard to kill three hours a week. Any ideas?

Well, tell them that you understand what they mean. Try to cooperate with them in any way you can. Try and find something you do have in common, try and stay away from negative thoughts. Don't judge them so hard on the way they are acting, it's just the way they are.(And just in case, don't wear eyeliner when you visit them)

Size=heart?

Short or tall doesn't make you different than others. Tease they may, but your smarter, kinder and stronger than them. There is no way to make you shorter or taller. The minuet you were made , your body decided how tall you will be, there is no way to change that. For now, be proud of who you are and don't listen to other people. Because nobodies perfect. So hold your head high and be yourself!

Baby! You're a baby!!

Everyone has some thing they treasure higher than anything else. Yours could be a doll or a piece of jewelry. But some people have things they treasure from when they were younger. A blanket is one example. But some people say its baby like to have a blanket. Well, this teasing can hurt your feelings. If it really hurts just say you don't like them calling you names. If you don't feel comfortable with that, you can laugh a little at them and say something like'' you know how much i treasure it''. And don't try and give up your blanket if you don't want to. You'll know when your really ready to give it up! And remember, its ok to have a blankie!

You're lazy... and you're mean... Not Fair!!!

If you look at someone and judge or sort them by what they look like or do for a living is a stereotypical judgement. An example is if you see a Blondie and you assume that they are dumb because of their hair color. That is really mean, and you must try to not do that. Would you want someone to see you and assume you're lazy or mean? A way to try and not stereotypically judge someone is to think about someone you know like that and say ''are they dumb?''. You won't think of people like that anymore if you keep thinking of others you know like that that aren't like that. If that doesn't work for you try and get to know someone you think is dumb or lazy because of the way they look or what they do for a living. You will see that stereotypical judgements aren't nice or fair or TRUE!!! You shouldn't judge a book by it's cover!
