School Problems

Sometimes school can be difficult for many reasons, and it may affect your grades and your parents may get angry with you. The cause of this may be bullying, not being able to pay attention in class, or just not understanding the material. It's hard to endure mean comments or getting lost in math equations or a history book. But to get through the hard years of school, you'll need friends, parents, teachers, to believe in yourself, and stay positive. Here are the ways to solve your different problems:
  1. If you are being bullied in school, you first should try to ignore the bully and not let their mean or untrue comments hurts you. If it continues, then you should tell the bully to stop because what they are doing is wrong. Finally, if they are still not finished with their rudeness, ask a teacher or parent to help. Note that asking for help from a teacher will not make the situation worse as most people believe. Teachers will be sure to help you avoid the bully, and your situation can get a lot better.
  2. If you have a problem with paying attention, go to a teacher or parent to help you find ways to learn other than sitting in a classroom. Find websites online that can improve the way you learn. When you are in school, try to find something that helps you pay attention, like maybe find a smooth stone and play around with it while you listen so you don't feel as bored.
  3. If you do not understand what the teacher is teaching then go to the teacher for extra help. Find worksheets online to help you, and if a test comes up, study in a way that is comfortable for you. If you still cannot understand, find a tutor who can help you with your school work and help you understand.
Believe and pursue your dreams, and when times are dark try your best to achieve your goals! You can do anything you put your mind to, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise!

Becoming Confident

Some people are born shy, very shy. But others are born fearless and full of confidence. Good friends support you when you need it, and that can always make you more confident. But sometimes if there is no friend around to help. When those hard and lonely times come, tell your self all of these things:
  • Your an amazing person! Don't let an audience or a bully make you think otherwise!
  • You can do anything if you try your hardest!
  • Even if you don't win or get a standing ovation, the best thing is that you tried your hardest and that's the most you can ask for!
  • You have family and friends who, even if they aren't here right now, support you with all their heart!
So shut out that voice who is telling you you can't do or it you'll make a fool of yourself and refresh your brain with positive thoughts that will make you and your peers happy and confident! Winning or losing isn't your game, your confidence and happiness is!

Enemies are People Too

Is there someone that when you see them, you just get SO ANNOYED? Are they mean or rude to you? Well, if this is true for you, for one momment consider their feelings. Even the people you dislike have feelings. I understand if they bully you, or act rude and mean, because there are people I dislike as well. But usually people are like that because they don't have any friends, or nobody is nice to them. My advice to people who have someone picking on them, or someone who just plain bothers you, is take a deep breath, go to go up to them, and nicely say hi. Ask them about their day, or compliment them. You may realize you were totally wrong about them, and they have many things in common with you. So don't judge someone to quickly, even if they did hurt your feelings, the same thing could have happened to them.

Show some love!

KATE CHALLENGE: Take my advice, and get to know someone you dislike a little bit more. Some people will never change sadly, but tell me how it goes, and you will have another Kate Challenge finished!
